Frisbie Memorial Hospital appoints Nancy Seskes, RN, as new chief nursing officer
Frisbie Memorial Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, has appointed Nancy Seskes, RN, as chief nursing officer (CNO), effective immediately. Seskes has served as interim CNO at Frisbie Memorial Hospital since May 2025, and previously served as associate chief nursing officer (ACNO) at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Prior to her interim CNO appointment, Seskes made significant contributions as ACNO at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. In this capacity, she was instrumental in driving substantial improvements in both nurse retention and overall nursing engagement across the hospital. She also played a vital role in enhancing physician-nurse collaboration, fostering a more integrated and effective care team.
Seskes joined HCA Healthcare in 2022 as director of critical care at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. In this role, she demonstrated exceptional leadership by optimizing patient care delivery within critical care units, implementing evidence-based best practices, and significantly strengthening the nursing workforce. She consistently improved quality metrics and achieved a 220 percent boost in engagement scores within her department.
“Nancy brings a wealth of experience in nursing, including bedside care, education and leadership, with a strong background in critical care,” said Tom Bowden, chief executive officer at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. “She has proven to be a clear, consistent and compassionate leader, and we look forward to her fresh perspective as we take Frisbie into the future.”
Seskes began her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua and continued her career at hospitals in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, including Catholic Medical Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rivier University and a master’s degree in nursing and nursing education from the University of Phoenix.
