American College of Radiology (ACR)

Frisbie Memorial Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in computed tomography (CT), Ultrasound and in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Hospital Compare

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services instituted the Hospital Compare overall rating for patients to use to compare a hospital to others so that they may choose a hospital that aligns with their preferences and healthcare needs. The Hospital Compare overall rating summarizes how hospitals performed on 57 of the more than 100 quality measures, which are divided into seven categories: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, timeliness of care, efficient use of medical imaging, and unplanned hospital visits.

Harvard Pilgrim Hospital Honor Roll

Harvard Pilgrim Hospital Honor Roll recognizes adult, acute care hospitals whose performance was among the top 25% of those measured nationally on a set of composite quality of care and patient experience and safety measures as reported by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Hospital Compare and The Leapfrog Group.

American Diabetes Association

The American Diabetes Association Education Recognition effort, begun in 1986, is a voluntary process which assures that approved education programs have met the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs. Programs that achieve recognition status have on staff knowledgeable health professionals who can provide state-of-the-art information about diabetes management.

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

NCQA is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. Since its founding in 1990, NCQA has been a central figure in driving improvement throughout the health care system, helping to elevate to the top of the national agenda the issue of health care quality.

  • Frisbie Memorial Hospital has been designated a Lung Cancer Screening Center by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Frisbie’s Lung Cancer Screening Program named Center of Excellence by the GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer.
  • Frisbie’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program has earned recertification by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) through its Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
  • Frisbie Memorial Hospital received for the second time in a row the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) highest five-star rating on quality measures such as safety of care, hospital readmission rates, patient experience and efficient use of medical imaging.
  • Frisbie Memorial Hospital has successfully completed the Safe Care: Obstetrics Risk Reduction Survey, achieving the Safe Care: Obstetrics designation.
  • Frisbie EMS receives the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Plus Award for implementing quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who experience severe heart attacks.
  • Frisbie’s Physician Practice Services was recognized by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for partnering with the New England Outpatient Antibiotic Collaboration to successfully implement the CDC Core Elements of Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship program that optimizes antimicrobial therapy and improves patient safety.

2018

  • Frisbie’s Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine receives for the sixth consecutive year, the prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D. Center of Excellence Award for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes, and the only wound center in N.H. to be recognized as a Center of Distinction and a Center of Excellence for seven consecutive years.
  • Frisbie EMS receives the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Silver Award for implementing quality improvement measures and helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Frisbie achieved an A, the highest possible grade in the Spring 2018 Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Grade.
  • Frisbie Memorial Hospital receives the 2018 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety.
